It has been a long journey for Liberian Musician Korte Bazzie AKA Korbazzie the Lormaboy in the Liberian Music industry. Kobazzie has had his own far share of the ups and downs in the slow-moving music industry of Liberia but as it is often said “what doesn’t kill you, makes you stronger” this has been the case of Kobazzie the Lormaboy.
After he was dropped from Bilikon Ent, there was waves of uncertainty on the future of the young promising Musician, many entertainment Pundits said that was the end of his Musical career but in the tweet of an eye, Kobazzie drop a single “SHUT UP” this song spark a huge debate in Liberia among fans of Kobazzie and fans of Bilikon Ent as many said the song was direct response to Lyee K. Bility the CEO of Bilikon Ent. It infact became a national debate as Kobazzie songs were reportedly ban from playing on truth FM 96.1 a local radio station managed by Bilikon Ent CEO.
However, the departure of Kobazzie from Bilikon Ent turnout to be breakthrough for the Lorma Boy as he work tirelessly to make himself relevant with or without Bilikon. He dropped couple of hit songs including Shut up, Albaleba, Lib Jue, etc.
It stared with a Europe tour where Kobazzie tour two countries in Europe and performed in England. Upon his return to Liberia couple of months later he was invited to the United States of America to perform at some events in the USA, though he was given the Visa but he was not allowed to perform because of the restriction on his VISA, so he toured some States in America and return to Liberia.
Again, few weeks in Liberia, he was invited to the USA for the second time to perform for his fans, this time he was given the right VISA that allowed him to perform in the United States of America as an artist. In America Kobazzie performed at many events including the ACANA fest one of the biggest festival in Philidel[hia where he received a raising standing ovation for his outstanding performance in front of thousands of people from all over the world. He also appeared as a guest on VOA popular show the AFRICAN BEATZ with David Varney in Washington DC studio.
While in America, Kobazzie flew to Australia upon the request of his fans, where he performed in some selected region and went back to America.
Still in America, Kobazzie drop another hit song “BOUNCE” the song is still rocking in every corner of Liberia.
Upon his return to Liberia, Kobazzie embark on his SAY NO TO RAPE campaign, the Campaign is focus on protecting girls’ children and also creating awareness for students to engage in positive attitudes that will shape their lives after school. His campaign Kobazzie SAY NO TO RAPE caught the attention of President George Weah, President of the republic of Liberia and he was given a surprise gift, a brand-new Nissan car from the President as a mean of encouragement and to ease the movement of the youmg Liberian Musician in his Advocacy the anti-rape campaign.
As if this was not enough, Kobazzie was invited to perform at the DAVIDO LIVE IN LIBERIA CONCERT, where he performed along with DAVIDO live on stage, while performing on stage, Davido ask the young Liberian Musician for he davido to do a remix of the song “BOUNCE”. Just after two weeks, Kobazzie was invited to Nigeria where he performed and is currently working on a collaboration project along the 30 Billion Gang.
Kobazzie is indeed on the move for greater things as he received 3 big nominations, Artist of the year, Male Artist of the year, Song of the year( BOUNCE) at the Liberian Music Awarding 2018.
