Liberia Music Union: 34 eligible to vote as 430 members are unable to pay due

The much awaited elections of the Liberia Music Union is set for February 2,2019 in Monrovia with majority to be left out of the election process.

As the day draws closer Musicians and producers who have expressed interest in taking on the mantle of Leadership for the Union are seriously campaigning to get the vote of their fellow musicians ahead of the D day.

It is however unclear as to the total number of eligible voters as many registered voters have not pay their due. According to the rules, only due paying members will be allowed to vote.

As at January 17, 2017, only 34 out of 462 members have completed due payment.

Since the Ministry of Information Cultural Affairs and Tourism of the Republic took the responsibility to revamp the Union 500 membership for were sold out. As at the time of this Publication 462 forms were filled and return to the Ministry of information while 38 forms are yet to be received by the ministry.
