Montserrado County Senator Honorable Saah Joseph has been adjudged Politician of the year at the West African Regional Magazine (TWARM) Achievers Awards 2018 in its 10 edition of the Business and Leadership Award.
The 10th edition of the TWARM award under the theme: Bridging the gaps among West African Countries was held at the Executive Inn Hotel in Paynesville city Liberia.
Senator Joseph became the first Liberian Politician to win the converted African award since the introduction of the Business and Leadership scheme by TWARM.
According to the organizers of the event, the Montserrado senator was recognized for his humanitarian work in his district and his fight against the Ebola virus that claimed thousand lives in Liberia and Sierra Leone respectively, something they believed led to his ascendancy at the Liberian senate.
Meanwhile speaking on bridging the gaps among West African Countries, the guest speaker Mr Ogochukwu Nwenke said there are so many potentials in in the subregion and the only way to fully utilized our potentials is through regional integration. According to him, regional integration can only be achieved when West African begin to collaborate through information sharing among governments and the private sectors about Business and investment opportunities in the various African Countries.
He called on African to begin to find African solution to solve African problems. “European theories cannot solve African problem, we must begin to tell our own stories the African way”
