The Chief Justice of the Republic of Liberia Francis Korkpor has described the action of Activist Archie Ponpon as politically motivated action. The Aggrieved worker set himself ablaze at the temple of Justice in Monrovi as part of protest for salary allegedly owed for ten months.

Speaking at the opening of the Criminal Courts A,B, C and D at the temple of justice in Monrovia on Monday, Chief Justice frowned Archie Ponpon for  carrying out such action on the grounds of the temple of justice, something he said got him confused over the attitude of the leader of the aggrieved staffers.

Chief Justice Korkpor disclosed that he has made several attempts to visit Archie Ponpon but he has always been stopped by Ponpon’S friends and relatives who accused him of wanting to kill him. He again insisted that the Judiciary is not indebted to any employee as it is being speculated in the public. He further stressed that all judges including himself as the Justice of the Republic and staffers were affected by the harmonization carried out by the government of Liberia.
