Serving as guest speaker at the first National Convention of the Democratic People’s Party of Liberia(DPPL) held in Buchanan, Grand Bassa County over the weekend, Madam Scott said the lack of leadership, massive corruption; mysterious deaths characterized by impunity, and excruciating hardship among others are reasons Liberia is being ridiculed in the world.

Madam Scott stated that she wondered why Liberia is still begging other nations for help, when the Country has abundance of resources.

She used the occasion to stress the need for Liberians to elect visionary and patriotic leaders in the upcoming 2023 general and Presidential Elections in the Country.

For his part, the Political Leader elected at the DPPL’s convention, Rev. David Kiamu vowed to provide good governance for the people of Liberia if elected as President in 2023.

The Liberian clergyman named; decentralization of government’s programs, development, particularly human resource capacities, discipline as key pillars of his plan to lead Liberia.

The Democratic People’s Party of Liberia held its first convention over the weekend in the Port City of Buchanan, where Rev. David Kiamu was elected as Political Leader, Atty. N. Dickson Tamba as National Chairman, John Pangbe  Secretary General, and Kim Vamie Treasurer.
