Liberia’s Auditor General Designate Garwa Jackson vowed to be proactive in the fight against corruption


Liberia’s Auditor General Designate Garwa Jackson has vowed to institute a proactive approach to the transparency Index of the county with the collaboration of Anti Graft Institutions and other relevant government institutions t fight against corruption.

Speaking to Reporters on Capitol Hill Monday following his confirmation Hearing by the Liberian Senate.

Mr Jackson said his Administration will integrate robust reform at the General Auditing Commission in ensuring that the GAC conducts quality audit of Public assets in the best interest of the Liberian People.

The General Auditing Commission is the Independent external Auditor of the Government that supports the legislature in its oversight responsibility to hold the Government accountable for its use of public resources.

P. Garwa Jackson  is a member of the Association of Chartered Certified Accountants (ACCA) of the United Kingdom and the Liberian Institute of Certified Public Accountant (LICPA). He also holds professional certificates and is a member of both the International Institute of Certified Forensic Investigation Professional, USA (IICFIP) and the Institute of Financial Consultant, Canada (IFC).
