Monrovia City Cooperation and Liberia Crusaders for Peace fight Corona virus in Liberia


The Monrovia City Cooperation in collaboration with the Liberia Crusaders for Peace has deployed over 600 trained volunteers to help combat the Corona virus in Liberia.

Speaking to the volunteers before their deployment in various communities in Montserrado and Margibi Counties, Monrovia City Mayor Jefferson Koijee cautioned volunteers to fight with resilience in combating the spread of the virus in Liberia. He said the training given to them by professional healthcare workers must be used in creating awareness and preventive measures within their respective communities.

For her part the head of the Liberia Crusaders for Peace Ambassador Juli Endee said the over 600 volunteers got the necessary training needed for their mission as frontline fighters. She was optimistic that the message will go across the country. Amb Juli also called on all Liberians to join the fight against the Corona Virus by adhering to the preventive measures.

 On March 16, President George Weah announced the first COVID-19 Pandemic case and few days later further two more positive cases were confirmed by Health authorities. 

Liberia currently has three confirmed cases.
