President Weah suspends Deputy Minister Eugene L. Fahngon

President George Manneh Weah has with immediate effects indefinitely suspended Mr. Eugene Fahngon, Deputy Minister of Information for Press and Public Affairs of the republic of Liberia over a reckless Facebook post.

President Weah in an executive mansion statement said his Government remains committed to a “one country, one people” policy with zero tolerance on divisive politicking or tribalism.

The Liberian leader has warned government officials and all citizens to refrain from making statements that could jeopardize Liberia’s 14 years of peace and security.

The suspended Deputy Minister Eugene Fahngon has always taken on social media to make reckless statements, something that have left many political pundits to question the Minister understanding of the nature of public service in a democracy but the  suspension  of Fahngon  has shown that his negative comments on Facebook  are not the views of the Weah led the government
